US Military Bases Overseas focus of May 16th Educational Forum:
What is a military base, and why does USA have so many of them all over the world? A new mapping system created by World Beyond War calls attention to the shocking amount of war preparation USA engages in by placing military bases in every part of the planet, and to the ways military encirclement escalates global tensions and hostilities. Marc Eliot Stein is Director of Technology at World BEYOND War, and host of the World BEYOND War podcast. He lives in New York City.
